THE TALE OF TWO INDIANS….

I did get time to write for quite some time. I was very busy either in my studies or in work. I have recently opened “Japanese Language Institute” and “Japanese Culture and Management Training Institute”. It is the first Japanese Language Institute in Pondicherry. My intention is let the students and professionals in Pondicherry also learn Japanese Language. The options should be given to them. It is an additional skill for them. The response among the people and students is amazing. I want to build this institute as one of the best institute in the world. So, I am flying native Japanese teacher from Japan to run my institute.

Now the tale of the first Indian comes.

I have been studying Japanese Language in a Institute in Chennai. This is 20 years old and teaching Japanese Language. I invited the President, the secretary and my teacher for the inauguration of the institute. None of them came. This may be normal and acceptable, because they are big people and busy. Also the travelling constrain of 170 kms.

There was surprise to me, after the meeting with the Japan Dy. Consul, I came to know there are two young lady Japanese language teachers are there and they expressed their willingness to come to Pondicherry for the inauguration. I don’t know the Japanese teachers, so did not invite them. After that I send my invitation to them.

The inauguration went off so well. The news has gone down well with the news paper and in the local TV channels. I wish to continue my studies with the same institute and paid the next 6 moth fee for the next level also.

After two class, one day the president of the institute came and spoke to me. He claimed, for the past 20 years he is the champion of spreading the Japanese Language in India. Although he don’t know the Language !!!. He told me the convention of the institute is, that is the unwritten rule of the institute is, they don’t allow their students to open Japanese Language School. Soooooo………..his message is, close the newly opened Japanese language Institute, if you want to continue here. If you want to run the institute, you have to leave this institute.

Wooooo, what an excellent thinking. Is this the typical way of Indian thinks ?????????. When we will become a grown up men ???. Are he is jealous ?. Are he get ride off me ?. Are he is doing his part to pull me down ? . I don’t to close my Institute, so I quite the institute.

Here comes the tale of the second Indian.

After one month, Our Japanese institute wants to conduct the Origami program for the School Children. Origami is the fine are of paper folding and it is very famous through out the world. At the time of inauguration, one of the Japanese teacher came to our institute is good in Origami.

I requested her to come to Pondicherry to show the Japanese art of Origami to our school children. She happy agreed. But she has to get permission from Japan Foundation and from the local institute. Japan Foundation has given the permission right away. The local institute refuse to send her. Hhhhaaaaaa Interesting, the tale of the second Indian.

The local institute is headed by an Indian. This time he claims, that he is doing language and cultural integration between Japan and India for 35 years. He is very clear, he will not give permission to the Japanese teacher to come to Pondicherry to do the origami performance. His point is, Our institute should join with him. He will support and help people those who are with him and join with him. If you are not with him, he is not with you.

What about the mission of spreading Japanese language and culture among the Indians. Don’t worry that he will take care of it.

First gentleman wants me to quit and the second gentleman wants me to join. At the first impression it looks both of then are different and in opposite direction. But the truth is both of them are same.

The hypothesis is simple. First try to crush the guy. If we succeed that is victory. Leave it. If he survives and if it difficult to crush, force him on our side. If both the strategy failed, take him for a long drawn ugly non cooperation and political battle wasting all the human time and energy.

Am I prepared for the long drawn battle…………and survive and keep my individuality. It is Happen at the highest level. Think about the politics in the lowest level.
